Last week, the Vital4 team was on the ground in Amsterdam for Money20/20 Europe—and what a week it was. From game-changing insights on stage to unforgettable networking events, the conference brought together the brightest minds in fintech, payments, and banking. Here’s a quick recap of our highlights, connections, and takeaways from one of the most impactful events of the year.

Money20/20’s agenda didn’t disappoint—packed with sessions focused on embedded finance, the rise of AI in banking, and the evolution of the global payments landscape. We were especially inspired by discussions on reshaping compliance in an era of real-time data, a topic that hits close to home for Vital4.

Other key themes from the conference included:

  • Identity as Currency: Digital identity took center stage as the foundation for trust, compliance, and seamless onboarding.
  • Embedded Finance Everywhere: Financial services are being integrated into non-financial platforms like retail, social media, and telecom.
  • AI & Intelligent Money: Sessions focused on how AI and automation are powering smarter fraud detection, payments, and personalized finance.
  • Regulatory Evolution: Major discussions around EU regulations, including MiCA, instant payments, and stablecoins.
  • User Experience & Interoperability: The shift from backend infrastructure to front-end innovation, open APIs, and cross-platform collaboration.
  • Platform Distribution: Emphasis on embedded distribution over traditional customer acquisition models.
  • Open Standards Over Proprietary Tech: Industry momentum is moving toward interoperability, shared infrastructure, and standardization.

It was also great to see Grant, Laura, and Ania crush it on their panel as they highlighted why two-thirds of U.S. card payments run through Georgia, and how we’re building the next chapter of fintech.

We were proud to be part of the Georgia Delegation at this year’s event. On Tuesday, the group made the rounds with a floor walk, connecting with industry leaders at Fiserv, Mastercard, Equifax, Lexis Nexis and Stripe. It was a powerful reminder of Georgia’s growing influence as a global fintech hub.

The Georgia Delegation’s canal cruise party on Wednesday night was a major highlight—registration sold out with a waitlist, and the energy on the water was unmatched. Great food, even better company, and unbeatable views made it a night to remember.

We also joined the crowd at the Visa Party, where over 500 attendees packed the venue for an evening of music and networking. And of course, we had to check out the Electric Garden Party—both buzzing with connections and innovation in motion.

For a little competitive fun, we teamed up with Featurespace and the Visa crew for a few rounds of darts (and maybe a few rounds of drinks too). It was a great way to unwind and build relationships beyond the conference floor.

Money20/20 Europe 2025 delivered on every front—insightful sessions, global networking, and a renewed sense of purpose in building fintech that’s secure, scalable, and future-ready.

Thanks to everyone who made the week so memorable. We’re leaving Amsterdam energized and excited for what’s next in the world of financial crime prevention and AI-driven compliance.
